(Seoul=NSP NEWS AGENCY) = Hanwha Foodtech, a specialized company in FoodTech, acquired Stellar Pizza, an American pizza brand using robots to make pizza.

Last January, Hanwha Foodtech and Serve Automation, Stellar Pizza's operator, signed an MOU for an asset purchase agreement and finished all related agreement works by February 29. Hanwha Foodtech Global Inc, a US branch of Hanwha Foodtech, supervised the acquisition.

Hanwha Foodtech would acquire 100% of Stellar’s assets and retain executives and key technical staff, including the CEO, Benson Tsai, enhancing its own and Stellar Pizza’s technical capabilities with an aim to advance the food industry.

Stellar Pizza planned to resume its business as soon as it reorganize systems to upgrade its management more efficiently.

Serve Automation was founded in 2019 by former engineers of SpaceX, a global aerospace company led by Elon Musk.
