(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = GC Biopharma announced on the 3rd that it had signed a supply contract with Blau Farmaceutica, a local partner in Brazil, on the 30th of last month for its immunoglobulin blood product, “IVIG-SN 5%.”

Through this contract, GC Biopharma will supply $90.84 million(about 119.4 billion won) worth of supplies to Brazil. The contract period is for a total of 5 years until June 29, 2028, and the above contract amount is set first as an estimated amount for supply until December 31, 2025.

Brazil is the largest blood product market in South America, with an immunoglobulin market size of approximately $270 million as of last year.

Since 2015, GC Biopharma has been supplying blood products to the Brazilian government’s drug bidding and private markets. In addition, it is currently exporting 12 blood products, including albumin, to 32 countries around the world, including Argentina, Uruguay and Vietnam.
