(Seoul=NSP News Agency) eunyoung Huh Journalist = Hanhwa Solutions said it signed a strategic partnership with Microsoft (MS) to expand eco-friendly energy and reduce carbon emissions.

Hanhwa Solutions will cooperate with MS to push forward various solar power generation projects under the agreement.

The company will not only supply modules with capacity of more than 2.5GW to solar power plants which will sign power purchase agreements (PPA) with MS from this year but also engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services to build solar power plants.

Hanhwa Solutions plans to increase the annual solar production capacity at its Dalton plant in Georgia to 5.1GW from the current 1.5GW by the end of this year and construct a “solar hub” - producing ingots, wafers, cells, and modules - with an annual combined production capacity of 3.3GW in Cartersville by the end of next year.
