(서울=NSP통신) soon ki Lee Journali = LG Electronics will promote an Indonesian TV factory as a production base for supplying TVs exclusively to the Asian market.


LG Electronics will significantly expand its TV production capacity at the Cibitung plant in Indonesia as early as the end of this year to foster it as a production base for TVs in Asia.


The Chibitung Factory, completed in 1995, has been producing TVs, monitors, and signage. It will also increase production capacity by 50 percent by expanding automated facilities for all processes, such as assembly, quality inspection, and packaging.

Production plants located in Chibitung(Indonesia) in Asia, Mlawa(Poland) in Europe, and Reynosa/Mexicali(Mexico) in North America will provide TV exclusively to each market.

LG Electronics will increase the productivity and efficiency of production base in each region, while maintaining the strategic importance of domestic production sites.
