(Seoul=NSP News Agency) soon ki Lee Journalist = SK Telecom has signed a contract to establish a new game platform joint venture which promotes new business for 800 million gamers in the main areas of Asia with Singapore, Thailand telecommunications company(CEO Chua Sock Koong) and AIS(CEO Somchai Lertsutiwong).

The three companies agreed to invest the same amount and to have a third of the shares and rights in the joint venture. The launch of the service is aimed for this year.


Through the joint venture, the three companies will promote the gamer's specialized community, the e-sports-related business, and the game media contents business. Rather than developing the game directly, the goal is to provide new platform services such as “Watching Games.” outside of gameplay.


The three companies agreed to expand the ecosystem, such as finding new partners and game developers who can add value to the joint venture.
