(서울=NSP통신) soon ki Lee Journali = This year, Samsung Electronics selected a total of 15 tasks in four areas such as disruptive semiconductor materials, devices and process technologies, next-generation displays, consumer robots, and diagnostic and healthcare solutions . This selection is part of research support tasks on the designated themes of Samsung Future Technology Promotion Project in 2019.

In the field of ‘disruptive semiconductor materials, devices and process technologies, that invited the public for the technologies to lead the groundbreaking technology development in semiconductor industry, 6 tasks which can dramatically differentiate semiconductor device structure and materials, such as ▲next generation memory semiconductors using ion mobility(Professor Yoon Tae-sik, Myongji University), ▲new materials for integrating over 100 layers of NAND flash memory(Professor Song Yun-heup, Hanyang University), ▲development of next generation semiconductor packaging technology using diamond(Professor Lee Hyung-soon, Chung-Ang University), were selected.

In 2013, Samsung Electronics started Samsung Future Technology Promotion Project, which invests 1.5 trillion won over 10 years to support the country’s future science and technology research. Free public subscription support tasks in the fields of basic science, materials, and ICT are selected once the first, second half of the year, while designated theme support tasks are done once a year.
