(Seoul=NSP News Agency) Jiye Kim Journalist = Samsung Electronics will offer the nation’s small and medium sized companies some 27,000 patents for free of charge.

Samsung had actually shared 27,000 patents since last June, yet only 3,000 of them had been offered for free.

The company’s decision to turn the 24,000 patents which had been shared with some cost into free of charge, comes out to relieve the burdens of smaller enterprises. The subject patents are mostly on mobile devices, audio and video technologies, network and communication, home appliances and semiconductors.

The patents will be uncovered at the website of the company’s creative economy centers in Daegu (https://ccei.creativekorea.or.kr/daegu/) and North Gyeongsang Province (https://ccei.creativekorea.or.kr/gyeongbuk/) from Thursday.
