(Seoul=NSP News Agency) Jiye Kim Journalist = LG Electronics and Google strengthens the joint efforts to enrich smart TV contents. This is a noticeable cooperation of two giants comes after their joint marketing efforts on LG electronics’ organic light-emitting diode (OLED) televisions in last June.

LG Electronics today released the Google Play Movies & TV, a content application for Smart televisions. It is the first time for the South Korea’s television makers to introduce the smart TV combined with Google’s online video contents.

Google Play Movies & TV serves users to purchase or rent video contents, such as movies and TV shows. The application provides an easy-access to latest movies thorough a streaming service, furthermore, popular TV show contents in the US, Canada, England and Australia.

The contents bought or rented via LG Smart TVs can also be available on other devices like smartphones, tablet PCs and laptops.
