(Seoul=NSP News Agency) Jiye Kim Journalist = SK telecom signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Wuxi city government on October 21, to open a healthcare center in Wuxi Xinqu Hospital, the major hospital in Wuxi. The deal is for providing decent health care services for medically marginalized communities with both a brick-and-mortar clinic and mobile clinics on wheels.

According to the agreement, SK will set up the medical center based on the Information & Communication Technology(ICT), such as Smart Primary Healthcare Center(SPHC) and Disease Management(DM) in IHC Wuxi Xinqu Hospital.

Meanwhile, the street-side clinics of SK will patrol around medically underserved areas to carry out health checkup on medically vulnerable populations.

The new clinical services in Wuxi will serve as a stepping stone for SK to ignite ICT-based health care business in China.
