(Seoul=NSP NEWS AGENCY) = Krafton has announced a 120 billion won equity investment in Spoon Labs, a global short-form drama platform company.

This marks the largest non-core diversified investment that Krafton has undertaken to date.

Spoon Labs, originally known for its development and global service of the audio platform Spoon, has recently expanded its business to short-form drama platforms. The company launched its dedicated platform"Vigloo"as part of this expansion.

Krafton has highly valued Spoon Labs' stable platform technology and success in global services. The decision to invest was driven by the growth potential of the short-form drama market, the opportunity to secure new intellectual property (IP) sources, and the potential synergies with Krafton’s existing businesses.

In collaboration with multiple production companies, Spoon Labs has already exclusively released 60 pieces of content on Vigloo, with plans to introduce a total of 120 by the end of the year. Starting this month, the company will also begin marketing efforts targeting Japan and the United States, alongside the release of Japanese original content.
