(Seoul=NSP NEWS) = Samsung Electronics starts its first cooperation with Hyundai Motor Company in the field of infotainment for vehicles.
Samsung Electronics supplies Hyundai Motor’s vehicles with ‘Exynos Auto V920’, a processor for premium infotainment(IVI, In-Vehicle Infotainment). The two companies plan to cooperate with the goal of supplying it in 2025.
This product is a Deca Core processor equipped with Arm’s 10 latest battlefield Central Processing Units(CPUs), and CPU performance has improved by about 1.7 times compared to the previous product.
In addition, it supports high-performance and low-power LPDDR5 to quickly and efficiently control up to six high-pixel displays and 12 camera sensors.
Samsung Electronics is also equipped with a next-generation graphics processing unit(GPU) based on the latest graphics technology to provide graphics processing performance that is up to twice as fast as before.
Samsung Electronics applied the latest computational core to Exynos Auto V920 to enhance the performance of the Neural Processing Unit(NPU) by about 2.7 times. It not only recognizes the driver’s voice and detects the driver’s condition, but also quickly identifies the surroundings to provide a safer driving environment for users.
In addition, Exynos Auto V920 supports ASIL-B(Automotive Safety Integrity Level), which is the safety standard for vehicle systems, and provides high stability, such as preventing system malfunctions that may occur during vehicle operation.
