Through the mass production of 10-nanometer (1x) graphics DRAM, Samsung Electronics has secured a solid competitive edge in the premium DRAM market by applying the 10-nanometer process to PCs, servers and mobile DRAMs as well as graphic DRAMs.

Samsung's 10-nanometer 16Gb GDDR6 DRAM improves power efficiency by more than 35% andis twice as fast as GDDR5 DRAM with low-power design (1.55V → 1.35V).

In addition, with the reduced chip size compared to 20nm process, productivity is increased by about 30% and high-speed, high capacity, ultra-small, ultra-low-power characteristics were achieved at the same time.

With this 10-nanometer class 16Gb GDDR6 DRAM, graphics card makers will be able to release next-generation graphics cards with large capacity and significant power consumption reduction in a timely manner and It is expected to be an optimal solution for the next generation of system development companies such as AI, virtual reality, 8K UHD ultra high quality video.
