(Seoul=NSP News Agency) jonghyuk Kim Journalist = Attorney Jongseon Ha, from a law firm named Barun, implied that he may sue Volkswagen for new small EA288 engine which is equipped in Audi.

Attorney Ha said, “Based on publications written by EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), CARB (California Air Resources Board) of the USA and research of the Ministry of Environment of Korea, we will decide to sue Volkswagen for new small EA288 and 3 liters large diesel engine which was recognized as fabrication in the USA.”

In the presentation about exhaust gas fabrication of Audi Volkswagen on 26 Nov. the Ministry of Environment of Korea has mentioned that even though they could not find out exhaust gas fabrication of the EA288 engine equipped in Golf Euro-5 and Euro-6, but through additional data check, are going to determine whether fabrication or not.”

So attorney Ha said “in 23. Nov, total number of litigants in this sue for EA189 engine that Volkswagen Audi admitted to fabricate, is 3874. And we are going to help additional litigants to file a complaint once a week.” “We are going to decide to bring an additional lawsuit for the new small EA288 engine, depending on the result of checking by the Ministry of Environment.” he added.
